>> Monday, May 28, 2007

http://www.bkwine.com/images/vote-2.gifThe latest addition to the list of AVAs (American Viticultural Areas) is Outer Coastal Plain in New Jersey. The region covers almost half of the state: 2.25 million acres (0,9 million hectares) – all are not planted with wine though. There are 20 wine producers growing a variety of grapes, e.g. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. appellationamerica.com
