Chateau Cantenac-Brown sold

>> Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Chateau Cantenac-Brown, a 3rd Cru Classé in Margaux (Médoc), has just been sold to Simon Halabi, a British financier. Seller is AXA, an insurance company that owns numerous other wine properties in Bordeaux and elsewhere (Pichon Baron is probably the best known). AXA will invest the money they get in developing their other properties. Cantenac-Brown covers 76 hectares, 53 of which are planted with vines. vitisphere.com
