BKWine TV: [E] Domaine Gerovassiliou in Greece
>> Friday, November 21, 2008
Domaine Gerovassiliou is a winery located not far from Thessaloniki (Thessalonica) in the hillsides of Epanomi, in northern Greece.
Evangelos Gerovassiliou believes that the future of Greek wine is based on the indigenous native varieties, for example, malagousia, a grape variety he revived and saved from oblivion.
The winery makes both red and white wines, white are both dry and sweet.
Evangelos Gerovassiliou also co-owns another Greek winery called Biblia Chora further to the north. he also has a wine estate in Stellenbosch in South Africa.
